A celebration of flowers through photography
I am delighted to have been invited to be the inaugural guest artist at the new Highdown Gallery in the beautiful chalk landscape of Highdown Gardens, set at the foot of the South Downs near Worthing. Highdown Gardens was the passion project of Sir Frederick and Lady Sybil Stern and was recognised as a national Plant Collection in 1989 in acknowledgement of its role in collecting and cataloguing rare and exotic plants and seeds from around the world.
My exhibition, 'In Bloom' will launch the new gallery to the public on 14th May 2024, and is designed as a celebration of the beauty of flowers in all their forms. I will be exhibiting a curated selection of my floral portraits, including 'Peony No.1' in homage to the famous 'Peony walks' held at the gardens every Spring. A private view event will be held on Wednesday 15th May from 6.30pm at the new gallery.
